With a foot print of a mere 55 mm x 84 mm, nanoETXexpress COMs are ideal for ultra-mobile applications that require the performance of energy saving x86 processors, high-end graphics, PCI Express and Serial ATA combined with longer battery life. Kontron nanoETXexpress modules are designed with the requirements of handheld devices for medical or multi-media applications, small mobile data systems in mind and those needs of a host of new applications that until now have not been possible due to size and power constraints. Kontron nanoETXexpress modules are 100 percent compatible with the COM Express™ (COM.0) Type 1 pin-out with respect to connector location and pin definition.

 

nanoETXexpress-SP based on Intel® Atom™ processor Z500 series

The Kontron nanoETXexpress-SP is the first nanoETXexpress Computer-On-Modules based on Intel® 45 nm technology. Performance for the first nanoETXexpress-SP Computer-On-Module is provided by the Intel® Atom™ processor Z500 series.

  • a ground-up design, based on 45nm Hi-K process
  • new IA micro-architecture,
  • comes in 10x lower power compared to ULV single-core processors
    and Intel® System Controller Hub US15W
